We exclusively breastfed. :) my hubs found other ways of bonding with baby and bath time became their time instead. You could always pump on occasion for if you wanted some time away or needed a break too. Definitely play it by ear.

Pumping is so much work when you don't need to. There will be plenty of years he can help feed the child

I've always liked the idea of pumping and breastfeeding - always breastfeeding when possible, but the baby cooperating with a bottle when I have to return to work or so hubby can get up during the night to feed baby, too.

I wouldn't make a decision until your actively doing it. I never expected to pump but once my daughter was born I was producing more than she was drinking and quickly found that unless I wanted to explode I needed to pump. At first I just froze the extra and still breastfed every time but as living/work situations changed I was relieved that I had pumped and could have the extra help as needed. no need to make a rush decision. every circumstance is different in every family. hope the choice comes easy to you when the time is right and good luck hun!

Although pumping is a little harder, breastfeeding on the boob limits a whole lot. Especially if you are in your career. Your child can't be without you at any time at all. In church, times where you need to go do important things you'll never be able to leave the baby in the car of the father of anyone.
