Some babies just don't like them! My first baby didn't like them, either. My second loves his Wubbanubs! Don't force it, though. In the long-run, it's better they don't want a paci... because then you don't have to worry about fighting to wean them off later.
Hmmm... I tried giving Nuk to my first and she didn't want those, too haha! Maybe it's the shape of the nipple. Try a Soothie and see if it works better. I give my boy his Wubbanub (the paci that's attached to a stuffed animal) whenever I'm trying to get him to fall asleep/ he's fussy because he's tired. And I never thought about this until you asked me when I give it to him, I just do it kind of instinctually... so it's interesting to realize that it really is just a relaxation tool!

I tried for 2 days to get my son to take one and he refused so I never tried again. I wouldn't push your baby onto it if you don't need it

Also, what brand are you using? My boy will only take Soothies. He spits any other kind with a different shaped nipple out.

my son doesn't use one. he would throw them across the room
