lol I was the same way and as get closer to delivering you wanna see how much baby has grown and changed while in your belly cooking. hopefully you don't have to wait much longer
@_akgirl, I just wish I could tell which body parts are which. When he moves I just feel/see the movements but I couldn't tell you what he was doing.
lol that's funny but its your first so its to be excepted I use to ask my Dr every visit when I'd get another ultrasound to the point where before I asked he'd tell me it wasn't that appointment but I was getting closer to getting it which I gave birth before my last one
yeah. he sorta pushed around till he found her head and bottom and sort of felt the outline of her body. i figured after 20+ years he can get a good estimate based on current body size. lol.
@_akgirl, they can do that by touch?? Interesting. I can't even tell what he's doing or what body parts he's using when he's pushing my belly. So to determine the weight just by touch is awesome.
@wyatts_mommy_0106, my midwife called me ultra sound crazy because I was anxious to have my very first one and to hurry and know the sex for the second one. I don't wanna seem obsessed I just wanna check on/see my baby.
@javiersmom, I'm trying to see if I can get on Medicaid right now I have insurance through my job.
my dr felt baby through my belly and estimated her size. said she wasn't going to be tiny but also not a record breaker. which was true. she was 8.3 at birth.
idk how the estimate the weight of the baby I never made it that far maybe @_akgirl may know the answer to that one. the check the fluids though and make sure the heartbeat is good and make sure baby is head down. ooh yeah I don't blame you I'd ask your Dr if he or she will do another U/S before baby comes and ask if they can get a good pic for you
@wyatts_mommy_0106, just curious to know how the doctor would know how much the baby weighs and how he's doing etc... Plus I haven't gotten any good ultra sounds for keepsakes so I kinda want one lol.
@_akgirl, I had my first one at 12 weeks and my second at 19 weeks and 5 days.
@javiersmom, is there a specific reason you have to have two? (If I'm being too nosy that's fine too) just curious.
my dr will give me one 32 weeks & 36 weeks will be my last, but like @wyatts_mommy_0106 said, depends on your insurance
my ogyn told me you don't because insurance doesn't cover it but you can always lie and say your have some type of pain so you can get another ultrasound
