my cat laid on my belly for the longest time until it became uncomfortable and sensitive a couple weeks ago I take it as a sign that they are already being protective as long as you don't completely ignore her when the baby comes and still give her attention I don't see why she would get jealous or upset

I have two cats and they love me to death and are always on my lap but they want nothing to do with the baby lol. When my baby (now toddler) goes down for a nap...they are suddenly on my lap again lol. He's even on my lap right now :). I doubt the cat will bother the baby...,more like the other way around lol.

she will love the baby also or just ignore it completely. it depends on her personality. i grew up with two kitties and when i had my baby one of then got really protective and close and the other just ignored her and acted the same with me trying to get my attention. to her my daughter is just another one of my cubs and when i go feed her she also comes gets her foods. it isnt jelousy just needyness. animals dont feel jelousness, they do feel loneliness though so i would buy her toys to entertain and give her the same love and attention and not change food schedules.

the other cat loves my daughter and she loves him back. she says he is hers and whenever she cried the cat would go to her to see what wad wrong and got really anxious. he also cuddled up to her to sleep when she slept on the couch.

try to have a separate room cat not allowed for baby anyways just for health reasons. my cats arent allowed in her bedroom.

My fur baby Daryl is sooo protective of my princess, and loves her. he's a sneak and try too sleep in the bed with her. he knows I'm pregnant again as well.
