sounds like u need 2 find a different dr if it's dropping like that the meds r 2 strong

80 for fasting is really good and 120 after meals is also great. the shakes and being light headed is because your levels are dropping way to low. I'm surprised they even put you on meds usually they try diet 1st. what do they have you on? and the specialist shouldn't be rude...your supposed to ask questions. I'm a diabetic for years now and I had a lot when I saw someone.

that's a lot of metformin...I take 1000 twice a day but on insulin too...they should have seen if the change in diet worked first or put you on a lower dose. I would take with your dr...it can be dangerous to drop to low or all the time. also always keep Juice close by. I also buy the glucose tablets located in the pharmacy they are quick acting. also star bursts are great to carry around and seem to work fast for me. what are your levels when you drop low...I start getting shaky around 60. sometimes lower. but my body is used do to going lower. when I first became diabetic 90 was when I would start feeling funny.
