Waking up to a notice from my insurance telling me it's going to be ending on the 31st of this month…

I'm assuming that you're on Medicaid. They can't do that. And if you reapply they have to approve you. And should only take like a week to process.... I moved to Florida when I was like 33 weeks pregnant and had to apply. So I feel you. It's scary dealing with insurance this late. But they have to insure pregnant women.

Maybe go down to the social services office. Or specifically call your case worker.

@h653, that's what I thought, I'm trying to calm down first before I deal with it otherwise I'm just going to be on the phone crying and having anxiety attacks, but yeah I don't know why they did this.

They fuck stuff up sometimes. But I promise you're good. It's called like full pregnancy medicaid your insurance won't end till two months after you deliver and then you reapply. So they messed something up. You'll get approved if you apply again. And even if they take forever to process it. Or let's say you go into labor right now. You will still receive medical care and then apply for it and submit your medical bills to them after the fact. You're good mama. They can be real assholes tho.

@wildtank, did you do your first application last month? if so you may need to make sure proof of pregnancy was sent to them (dealt with this with my first, its no fun but usually only takes contacting them)

@bocoin1, no, that was my second after having medicaid for like 7 months, so I'm very confused about it all but yeah im hoping to get it all taken care of.

@wildtank, okay then I'm not sure... definitely call them and ask what is going on. you should have medicaid for 6 weeks after delivery
