so my down syndrome screening test came back positive idk what to do i have a doctors appointment…

i heard its really common for this test to be positive and the baby ended up not having down syndrome. talk to your doctor

I think if the test came back positive you should be prepared for your child to possibly have down syndrome, however at the same time doctors are NOT always right and their tests are not always 100%. I know that when I did my test for that it came back negative, but there is still a 35% chance (pretty sure that was the percentage) that the test could be wrong. I wouldn't over stress yourself, but be ready and make sure to have some questions ready for the doctor. Hang in there ! No matter what your little bundle of joy brings your way, always remember that you created him/her !! Stay positive ! xx

yes but it was just the blood work no ultrasound so i have to go for more text the needle in my belly :(

does anyone in your family or the father's have down syndrome?

Yes ! I know 2 people who had positive screenings and both babies didn't end up having downs. I also know people who tested negative and their child came out with it. So you are just going to have to stay positive and wait to see what you are given. This is why I chose not to do the screening.

noone has it on both sides @pinkfulskies oh ok thank you even if we will love are baby but it will be hard

so my test came back 1 in 230 but for my age group is more like 1 in 1500 so my two docs say i should go for the other test
