Do you use anything that might irritate baby's skin? Like baby lotions, oils or the purfumey baby wash, or even purfumey laundry soap on baby's clothes. They have super sensitive skin that can't handle all the stuff that is commonly put in baby stuff like the Johnson brand. I used Johnson baby oil once when my little one was about a week old and she broke out. I switched to coconut oil, or if I didn't have that then olive oil ,only when needed and for baby massage, and switched to a gentler wash and she never gets any skin problems. Try putting breast milk on it, or cornstarch if oily (not on head), or coconut oil if you'd prefer, on the irritated spots, should help it clear up.
@ethansmommy12192015, Aveeno is definitely not as bad. I've only tried the shampoo from them, wasn't a fan although I accidentally got the fresh scent one. Just keep an eye out for mineral oil, I think is only in the baby oil but not sure. It's a by-product of gasoline, commonly used in products because it's cheap.
