The day she was born was the best day of my life, aside from finding out I was pregnant with her. I found out I was pregnant when I was 18, shortly before my gymnastics season ended, before graduating High school, before getting the chance to be hired at the local Sheriff's Department. I remember finding out about her and being scared...how was I going to raise her? How was I going to let people know? How was my life going to change? It took a few days for it to sink in, but when it did I was ecstatic. I messaged my mom and told her the news...she was disappointed, but quickly warmed up to having a grandbaby. I told my boyfriend (now ex boyfriend) the news thinking he would be as excited as I was. I mean, we were going to become parents! He wasn't happy about it. He demanded I get an abortion, and when I said I was not going to he said he was done and we were over. Fast forward a few months and he returns to apologize, say he wants in her life when she's born, then dictates how she would be raised, saying his mother would raise her and I was there to carry her. Fast forward to her birth date and he has only seen her twice, once was because we ran into eachother. He hasn't asked about her. But that's fine. Being a single mom to such a beautiful little girl brings me so much happiness...when she smiles or laughs or does her baby babble, it makes me feel sorry for those that have decided to shun her and reject her.
Have any of you experienced family, friends, or boyfriends/husbands/exes leave due to your pregnancy/birth? How have you handled it?

You go girl! Keep staying positive. And as for the dead beat dad, going after him for Child support would be on my agenda. Not that it changes her not having her dad. But he doesn't get the luxury of just walking freely with out having to act like a man and handle his responsibilities!
