If he's ready he is ready, my daughter was wearing underwear and nearly completely potty trained by 16 months... I didn't push her she watched me and started doing it herself and picked up on it.. I was sooo happy! But if your child is ready then just try!

@saramarie09, thank you yeah I've felt like he's been ready for a while but I wanted to wait till he was talking but he keeps taking off his diaper and he goes into the corner or off somewhere when he wants to poop and he's always in the bathroom with me so I'm sure he knows what it's for he tries going in there a lot too

did you use anything as a treat with your daughter? and did you just keep putting her on the toilet because idk when he goes pee I just know when he's about to poop

I used a small gumball machine for my son. He got a penny and got his favorite candy out of it. He was potty trained just after he was one. @nyckolle00

@nyckolle00, i started taking her everytime I went then if she did something I just said yay!! And clapped and she did the same thing.. Once she got a. Little bigger I started a sticker chart with her because she loved stickers and they are cheap lol
