The last US i had i was 36 weeks and my daughter was 5lbs9oz and they said she was fine. Well today at my 38 week check up they told me im still at 2cm and 50% effaced and my cervix is still high but want another US because she measured small last time and was in the 15% for growth and weight which is lower than average. Dr said nothing to worry about but if shes still small at my apt on Monday then we will schedule my induction date. Im worried because my weight has been the same since my 36 week US hasnt went up or down. Has anyone else had this with their baby? My son was born at 39 weeks and was 7lbs.

There is nothing wrong with an almost 6 pound baby! Sounds like your OB just wants to induce you for no reason. Get more answer from him next time. US weights are not accurate enough to schedule induction because the OB thinks a baby should be bigger. And if they think the baby should be bigger....leave them in there to get bigger. I don't understand the OB's reasoning for induction at all. And nothing is wrong with 15th percentile. My toddler has spent most of her life in 5th percentile and is perfectly happy and healthy. Unless there is something you are missing...induction doesn't seem warranted.
