anyone who has young kids have any tips on disclipine? my daughter is only 17 months couldn't listen…

no kids due in may but I care for my niece ... I spanks her little ass and give her that look my mama use to give me.. sorry but that's what was done to me .. SPANK THAT ASS!

Kids are very curious at that age .. She is exploring everything .. You have to have in mind that she is probably throwing fits and acting different because ur having another baby.. she wants more attention just be patient .. My three year old is acting the same and she is 3 !! I re explain what is wrong and what is right .. Over n over if I have to .. They are not living in our world.. We have to live in theirs .. She has showed me real patience and I an giving her extra attention cause in a few months she won't be an only child anymore and all the attention won't be for her so might as well enjoy it with her while I can ! ..

I was raised to be spanked too and I did that a little pop on her butt or her hand but now if I do it she hits me back @greedypreggo970

I tried the right and wrong but she goes right back and does it all over again the second we are done talking so idk if its just not sinking in or what and I don't think she really knows about the other baby I mean we have told her but she doesn't know what it means @gor_jess

@briannalorelle17, I'm sure she feels it .. Even if she's young she knows something is up.. My daughter throws fits out of nowhere for nothing and screams like if they're killing her lol .. I could tell she gets jealous .. Just be patient .. It's hard when ur pregnant but consistency works !! .. Trust me I got spanked too but I wouldn't do that to my daughter unless she really deserves it .. I would hate for her to be scared of me and then for her to take it out on the new baby ..

yeah I only do it if she deserves it not just every time only if she's really bad. that's a last resort for me. and yeah like you said I'm just so tired all the time I wanna stop and give up trying but I know I can't and that frustrates me more lol @gor_jess

Sounds horrible but when my 3 year old acts like that I let her fall (within reason) and when she comes crying and yelling at me I remind her that mommy and daddy tell her not to climb, run, or touch certain things. That what I am enforcing it but she is also learning on her own that we aren't being mean but just trying to protect her

Also I involve her in lots of things with her new sister listening to her, singing songs to her, feeling her kick, and picking out things for her sister helps her feel a part of it and not get jealous. She even lotions mommy's belly sometimes lol.

I'll try that @kristineen I just feel so bad especially when she's gives me that look like "how dare you let me get hurt" lol her little looks I give in to which probably also isent helping I know
