@babyboots, my mum had me at 37 weeks for the same reasons and I weighed 7lbs5 at birth. Hope your not worrying too much xx

@nico7, thats so reasuring.. thanks.. 7lb 5 is a good weight my daughter was born at 39 weeks and she was 7lb 14oz... these babys do make us worry.. Xx

@babyboots, I was completely fine as well, was home within 2 days with my mum as well. I ended up being a wee chunk!🙈😂. 7lb14 is good for 39 weeks, imagine her weight if you went to 42 weeks lol xx

I've a tiny baby boy @babyboots He's only 2lb 2oz at 30 weeks 5 days... When he should be 3lb+ but he's absolutely fine, perfectly healthy. He's expected to weigh between 4lb - 5lb xx

this happened to me with my last pregnancy at 33 weeks they said my baby was small was at the hospital every week, they broke my waters at 37 and 2 days as my placenta stopped working and my daughter weighed 5lb 12oz, when they checked the cord it was really really thin like string. I had to have steroid injections as well. you baby girl will be fine hun Xx @babyboots

@nico7, thanks hun.. i suppose ur right its just its never happend with my other two babies so didnt no what to think.. and i got to 42 weeks with my son and he was a chunk at 9lb 2oz lol... and @sianwhala have they said they taking you in early?? or are they letting you go to due date? I've had two c secrions in past and my pregnancy is classed as high risk ect so this is the last thing i wanted to hear 😢 how often do you have scans? Xx

yes my consultant spoke about steroids @baby-2016 iv to have scans every week but my growrh scans have to be every 2 weeks as it gives them time to see a diffrence he was saying.. thanks hun and yea i hope she just puts as much weight on as possible from now onwards just in case Xx

fingers crossed hun. I had my twins at 34 weeks and they were 4lb 9oz and 5lb 2oz the Dr said that they were good weights my next was 7lb 7.5oz then my next was 8lb 13oz then my last was 5lb 12oz. I'm with consultant as I'm high risk. I'm hoping this baby is going to be 7lb something. our babies like to make us worry @babyboots xx

I was 8lb6🙈 at 37 weeks! Only thing they said is if I was born my c section I would of had to stay in hosp for a week for my lungs but born naturally aparantly when pushing u clear Thyr chest or something xx

I was induced at 37 weeks @babyboots my lill girl was 6lb she didn't hav any problems she didn't need any extra help she was the smallest baby for me my others were bigger I was worried but all was fine don't worry @babyboots everything will b fine they don't always getting the size right xx

37 weeks is usually fine Hun so I wouldn't panic just yet. X

our babies sure do make us worry @baby-2016 and ideally id like my baby girl to be 7lb as im used ro 8/9lb babies.. @cmcdon203 8lb6 is a very good weight dfor 37 weeks thats cheerd me up a little 😊 and yes he said wirh me having a c section id need steroids to help her lungs.. and @t446 id be happy with 6lb and the fact ur little beautie had no problems and was born at 37 is a great worry lifted off my shoulders.. im hoping she has a growth spurt in next few weeks and proves them all wrong.. thanks ladies for reassuring me i was sooo worried.. ooh yea and to top it off my iorn levels are low so been given tablets 3x a day and i have protein and yeast in my urine... what a long day Xx

i no @nashkay i just wanted her to be as xlose to 39 weeks as possible gives her more time to grow and put on weight but maily her lungs to develop... i was expecting to have my section at 39 weeks you see and i no its only 2 weeks from 39 but it just sounds so much sooner.. they can grow so much in 2 week.. if they do want her out at 37 thats only 5 weeks away!!! 😲😲😲😲

If they decide to deliver early surely they'll give you steroids to prevent her lungs being under developed? That's what they did for my aunt when she had her twins. They gave her steroids at week 30 and they were born at week 35 X@babyboots

yep thats what the consultant said.. but do the steroids definitely develope her lungs?? I've not had to go through any of this before so im clueless @nashkay tbh that much was talked abt today its all just going round and round in my head Xx

Don't worry @babyboots you'll b fine they did tell me that 37 weeks was nr term anyway xx

thank you @t446 just been a very long day think a nice bubble bath is called for while i lie there and feel my baby girl have a kick and wriggle... shes not left my mind all day... but as you say 37 is near term.. lets just pray they happy with her weight and keep her nice and snug untill then.. Xx

Well my aunt had her twins at 35 weeks. They weighed 4lb 13 and 5lb 3 and neither needed to stay in special care. She came home after 2 days. They've been right as rain so I believe the steroids are definitely the reason as usually the biggest worry with "premature" babies is the lungs and holding their own temperature. they were fine and as you're having a "single" baby, your baby girl should be bigger at 37 weeks than twins would ever be. If you're unsure of it all thou, just ask your consultant etc. They should really explain everything @babyboots x

Well Im Private so see my consultant and have scans every week, but that's just because of my package. He's properly due on 8th April, but having an elected c-section on 23rd March (at the moment) as his brain development and organ development are infront. But he's very tiny doesn't weigh much. Don't worry too much if she has to be delievered early I was 7 weeks early and absolutely fine. Always here Hun, if you need to know anything or need support💗 @babyboots xx

thanks @nashkay and the consultant was excellent he went over everything just went over that much its a bit fuzzy now lol... and i also get scans weekly now @sianwhala thanks for your kind words hun it means alot.. i hope your baby boy is a good weight and size also Xx 💖 think i just found it all dounting as its never happend with my other two Xx
