Has anyone received the £500 grant? did you have any problems? I'm so worried about not getting it because we're relying…

I got mine, the only problem I had was it took over a month to sort it x

As long as you have no other children , this is your first child , and your 29 weeks you can apply x

You also have to be on some sort of benefits like income support or working tax credits! Not just your first baby and over 29 weeks! Me and my partner applied and we aren't entitled to it because we both worked full time before I went on maternity xx

we're entitled because we're both on jsa and claim housing benefit :) xx @emmy_lou

@emmy_lou, also my partner cannot work because he has back problems and I have chosen to be a stay at home mum :) xx

@firsttimemummy21, ah that's alright then! It's really unfair the way that they decide who can have it and who can't, me and my partner have both worked since we were 16, we have our own house we pay for ourselves, on a low minimum wage income, but we're not entitled to a single penny! Not until baby is here and we get child benefit, which I think everyone is entitled to! So ive literally got to wait until baby is born before we can apply for anything again! If we could afford for me to be a stay at home mum I would be, but unfortunately we just can't financially justify it 😞😞 if it wasn't for my mum, I wouldn't have anything for this baby lol! xxx

@emmy_lou, we're just surviving on benefits at the moment in a studio flat! 😂 hopefully things will be better when baby is here because we'll be entitled to a 2 bedroom flat and child benefit xx
