QUESTION: Does the brand of baby laundry soap really matter? I just don't understand why it would??

we just use any baby friendly laundry soap. we don't have a specific brand we use.

@jazzy_kruger, but whats the difference between baby laundry soap and regular soap? like why can't I just use regular soap?

I've always used my regular soap, and they say because babies have sensitive skin and such, but I wanted my baby to be used to "our scent." So I just didn't bother, and she was fine.

I believe it is mainly because babies skin can be so sensitive. regular soap probably has more chemicals and scents than baby soap does. I mean you can always try just using regular soap if you aren't already and if it doesn't bother baby than you're fine.

I used tide free and clear...it's a lot cheaper then the baby stuff. after a few months I just used our regular soap.

I use all free and clear. Which is dye free and fragrance free because I have sensitive skin. Once baby gets here I'll use it for her clothes as well. It works amazing gets stains out and leaves clothes clean.

Use ones that's say free and clear. we used all free and clear. no need to buy the baby detergent.

I haven't read the other comments so I could just be repeating. but personally I believe it has a lot to do with skin sensitivity. Babies just react to different things in strange ways sometimes. But I would try it and if it doesn't cause problems then don't worry about it:) if anything just ask your dr!
