So my twins have a risk for twin to twin transfusion syndrome. But what really has me shaken up is that they are testing them for trisomy 13. Was at the high risk Dr Friday and they said both babies have a high risk for this. Dr said it's Fatal in 100% of cases. Holy crap! I keep getting these curve balls thrown at me. For the past 2 days ive had panic attacks. I really don't know how to not worry about this. Any advice or shared stories would be appreciated... TIA

@santinosmommy2be, its where blood flow is not distributed evenly between babies and one gets bigger than the other. One or both babies can pass if it happens. Or I would deliver early to prevent it. Either way, no Bueno...

I will send you positive energy. It sounds like they've got you good and scared for the worst case scenario. There's been a lot of developments in the treatment of TTTS in the last few years and they may be able to do a preventative surgery to help your pregnancy last longer, and there's other slightly less invasive things they can do. You've got a great chance of keeping both babies healthy. Did your doctor give you any indication why he's concerned about Trisomy 13? Usually they see somethinh on the ultrasound that throws red flags. If not maybe it's precautionary? Try not to panic yet. Keep your head up and your thoughts positive.

@jana.bear, yes. Dr said there was abnormal blood flow to both babies hearts and that paired with my age. Said my risk is 1 in 100 something... I can't remember the exact number I was kinda numb by that point.

The abnormal.blood flow can be attributed to the TTTS though. Are you over 36? You look really young in your pictures.
