I just kept mine in as long as I could take it and then once it got to snug I would just poke it through every couple days so it wouldn't close up. I hate the maternity bars
I kept mine in until the day I was induced with my first two. Then as soon as the nurse said it could go in afterwards, I put it back in. I had it pierced long enough before that it never really got too snug. But I was also not the skinniest chick in the world before my daughter, haha!
