So I'm only 21 weeks and 3 days but I am preparing myself for a natural birth. I will still be delivering in the hospital but don't want any drugs being put in my body. Any tips on natural births, or what helped you get through the contractions? I'd be very appreciative!

I had a natural birth for most of my labor, about 21 hours of it, until my blood pressure was way too high and my doctor gave me no choice but to have an epidural. They had nitrous oxide, laughing gas, for me to use. It is supposedly drug free. Because of my asthma I couldn't use it for long but it did help. Besides that just making sure you breath and don't tense up. Also think as if you can't get the epidural, you have no choice but to do it natural. It helps you not give in.

The cliche is just to relax.
iHad a home birth with my last one &Honestly; iJust focused on the contractions so iKnew where it was coming from, that way it wouldn't really spread. Closing your eyes does wonders lol.

The best thing for me was sitting in the warm bath tub in the hospital, it helped me to relax thru the contractions. I'm not sure if all hospitals have that option, but you should try and ask. (:

Every time I went into a contraction I'd block everything out and just focus on relaxation and breathing. It also helped sitting on a birthing ball in the shower with warm water running down my back. It also helped me jump from 6cm to 9cm!

I've heard doing lots of research on each stage of labor helps a lot because you' can imagine where the baby is when they tell you how dilated or effaced plus it gives you something to focus on when your emotions and physical symptoms change. I'm gonna try that. all I do is read read read.
