you're gonna hear pros and cons over everything like that. My daughter has been feed formula (Similac) since day one. She's a year old, and fine.

They say you can transition them to regular milk at a year old, I started at 11 months, so by the time she turned a year she was on regular milk. But during that time you feed them regular foods and stuff as well, after they're 6 months old.

breast milk is supposed to be best for baby because its completely natural, and its always a lot easier to some, because you don't have to deal with bottles and everything. but as long as you feed baby youre fine.

I think it's the same, if you make it to 11 months, you transition the same.

ultimately breast is always best, there's soooo many benefits to it beyond just feeding your baby. There's the bond between you and your little one, convenience, and the fact that your milk will make any antibodies your baby needs to fight off any disease or infection going around, which formula doesn't do.
but in the end, as long as baby is fed. there's nothing wrong with formula at all and it's what many women prefer because they don't feel comfortable with breast feeding.

No problem! I breast fed my first until 6 weeks, I wanted to do it longer because I knew the benefits, but I was very uncomfortable with it (I was 17 years old at the time) and also struggled to have my baby latch, so eventually I transitioned her to formula. doctors recommend breast feeding at least until 6 weeks if possible before switching to formula.

Either breastmilk or formula will give baby the basic nutrition they need. However, breastmilk also has antibodies to help keep baby healthy, changes to meet baby's exact needs, and is 100% free unless you need to buy a pump to go back to work. Breastfeeding does take a lot of work though because baby will eat constantly for about 6 weeks. Either way baby should get only breastmilk or formula until 6 months old and then get their milk before solids until 1 year. At 1 year old you can either continue breastmilk/formula or you can switch to another milk source. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. My son is almost 8 months old and breastfed.
