Has anyone here suffered with antenatal depression and how were you treated?.. x

Yes. with my first child. I was only 18 and 21 weeks before I found out. I was monitored but people weren't very nice to me especially midwives. but I was unlucky and it turned into post natal depression after birth. she's 11 now and my subsequent pregnancies were fine x

I've depression and my own Dr said don't get pregnant til sorted it I've been depressed all my life from my mother so I'm scared I'm going to get postnatal depression xx

I asked my doctor about starting back on my anti depressants. I've suffered from 13 with it and it has been gone for about a year. my pregnancy wasn't planned and I'm starting to fall back to how I used to be. the doctor won't put me back on the medication because of the painkillers I've been taking. I'm startng to consider putting up with the pain to go back on the anti depressants xx

yes it has been extremely bad. I was put back on my sertraline.. it has made a huge difference it's just taken a while. xx

@meadraven, they're the ones I've asked to go back on but apparently they can react with sumitriptan?.. I'm hoping to go back on Monday and sort it out xx

ah I didn't know that. The other option I was given was amitriptyline. I hope you feel better soon xx
