having older step children can be so frustrating. My step son is 7. I laid down the law with my husband many years ago about discipline since I had some of the same issues of my husband undermining me when his son was being disrespectful. I will never raise a hand to him but he follows my rules in my house or he will have a consequence. And the SO has to honor that and NEVER cut you down in front of the kid. There's a time and a place for appropriate discussions about what's acceptable discipline and it's never where the child can hear. I'm sorry you're going through that while pregnant. I would've lost my head. Good on you for keeping a level head. 👍

@jana.bear, I know when he's around i don't exist. I tell her no, she cries and he says yes I'm like you need to stop before she gets worse. I'm tired of her being a spoiled fucking devil all she does is whine. Yucky. I'd probably go full diva at that point.. I had to explain to my husband that when you're in a relationship with someone you're modeling that relationship for your children regardless of whether they're biological. So he's teaching his daughter that her husband does not have to respect her and that her wants and needs do not matter. 😞
