old wife's tail is that if your baby has a low heart rate then it's probably a boy.

I'm having a boy and his heart rate has been between 125 and 180 the whole time. He started at 180 and is now around 130 I believe. The rate usually drops the farther along you get.

With this pregnancy in the beginning the heart rate was well over 150 and I'm having a girl.

I'm only 7 weeks but had an emergency ultrasound because my hormones didn't double like they were supposed to. everything was great though and heart rate was 126 beats per minute
