Say things like, "mommy is out..." And when she comes home say, "hey, guess who's here now? Mommy!" Just say mommy in the context of his actual mom and not you, and he should catch on

And his mom might need to talk to him. Tell him she is his mommy, and just because you watch him doesn't mean you are too lol

maybe teach him his mommy name? like when he calls you mommy you can say I'm heather (your daughters name) mommy and (his moms name ) is (his name) mommy!

I completely understand that. He's just young; it'll take him a while to get used to being babysat

he also could be calling you mommy but not meaning it more of he's calling you mommy telling you thats who he wants. I watched a baby who kept saying mommy and her mom was shocked and said she barely said it to her. my mom explained she was trying to say she wanted her mommy.
