It's still based off of the first day of your last period, that's the most accurate way of telling. So if you calculated by that date then your due date will remain the same. @melissa20544 your doctor should have told you and asked you that today.
they will tell you your due date by your first ultrasound. the earlier is the most accurate. recommended around 6-7 weeks. they wont go from your period date once you have this. as eveeyone ovulates at different times in their cycle.
no worries.the first scan is called a 'dating scan' .(for obvious reasons lol) they dont always give you one that early. some doctors like to wait up until 12 weeks but you can request a dating scan and they will give it to you :)
My dating scan & lmp were a few days out but they went by my lmp as they say it's more accurate, and they've continues to use my due date as calculated by LMP
They didn't go by my lmp either they went by my dating scan, idk how accurate they are though because I had a scan at 6 weeks then one at 8 weeks and the due dates were different so I think the lmp could be more accurate but idk go by whatever your GP, ob or midwife tells you too 😄
my date scan said I was 6weeks exactly dr is goin by my lmp which makes me 4 days ahead of date scan lol my 12week scan bubs was measuring at 13 weeks n 5 days so who nos lol all I no is im due between 23rd n 29th of june lol
