okay girls, so I woke up today and was a little wet, and could feel 'something' come out when I would stand @ random times, so being a worried FTM to 3 angel babies I made a apt with a midwife. Nurse checked Noah's HB and it was good, then the midwife used a speculum on me to open me up and get a sample of the discharge. (I don't thinks she used lube) she then used her finger(s) to feel my cervix, which she then said after both tests that not leaking amniotic fluid and cervix is closed! praise God, however about 2 hours later (just a few ago) I started having a BAD backache, its more up in the middle all the way across, && the 'discharge' now has no smell and is sticky!? ---- question is, did the speculum or her fingers do any harm? like could it cause my cervix to open and make me go into labor?? I haven't had a speculum test since I was like 13-14 along and it didn't hurt that bad like this time did. I'm just praying that she didn't cause anything bad to start happening!!!! help. opinions?

I don't think her checking you would cause that to happen. She may have loosened some of your mucus plug. You can always call and ask your doctor, but it all sounds normal to me. If you're not gushing fluids or bleeding I wouldn't worry too much ❤️

you have to remember also its normal to have more discharge than before pregnancey. some mornings I wake up and when I stand up i feel like I peed on myself but it's just normal excess discharge. also you can loose your mucus plug more than once during pregnancy. it can grow back so you're fine.
