It's safe no matter what but best to wait till 2nd trimester because in the first your hormones are wacky bad it might not hold color good or dry put really bad. I got this done at 12 weeks my hair was dead after.

i heard highlighting was safe hen wber because it dosnt touch your scalp =)

It's just a myth that it isn't safe.
