question, one of my new biggest fears as a FTM is what if I start leaking amniotic fluids? how will I know? Monday I went to the local ER, then over to L&D where they sent me cause I thought I was, but they did a paper test and said it was negative that I wasn't. however I do have discharge, && sometimes its like I can feel it come out. (sorry if TMI!) but I wear a thin pad to monitor it && its usually just moist/damp & & I'm thinking its from like body heat/sweat!? I do get a tiolet paper and press against the pad && makes sure that its not wet enough to get onto the tiolet paper. sorry girls if I sound nuts! just a worried mommy to be, especially since I've lost 3 babies, one being this babies twin! :'(

You won't know if you loose fluids to be honest. I am 34 weeks and I just went to the OBGYN and they told me that my fluids were low and to drink plenty of water and it will help it rise. I ended up loosing my mucus plus the next day so now I could go into labor at any momeny. If the test came back negative I wouldn't worry too much :) your probably just sweating down there cause your body is warmer than normal because your carrying another human being! If you still feel like you may be loosing fluid I would just speak to your OB about it and they can check during an ultrasound. I hope this helps! @noahsmommy90

thanks. and yeah I have not gender scan @ OB on 1/20. I was told it'd be like a constant pee and my panties or pad would be more then damped? but if its low drinking fluids makes it rise?

Yes drink about 8 glasses of water a day. That is what I was told on the 13th when I went to my appointment. :)

plus I am only 18w4d. so I pray I don't start/ am not leaking!
