When do you ladies think is a good time to have your baby shower? Like how many weeks along?

I'm having one at 30 weeks and one at 34 weeks

@thehowtohippie, @littlemissrainesmommy I will be 33 weeks at my baby shower, my sister insists that its too early & I should have it the second week in April. I'm due the first week of May. I think she's out of her mind wanting me to have it 3 weeks before I'm due.

Im having mine at 35 weeks, because thats the only time I can make it back home.

You're unlikely to get large items from a baby shower the earlier you have it the more time you'll have to get money together for large expensive things.

@thehowtohippie, man I wish my boyfriends family felt that way! I had mine at 38 weeks and all I got was onesies and diapers. like NO ONE looked at my registry, my registry was full of $20 or less things that I seriously needed. like I ain't even got a bedding set for the crib or a carseat.

and I had 35 people show up too.

@crunchymomma, I just think it's the responsible thing to do or else you're just stressed out trying to get cribs and car seats ect ect ect

I wasn't able to have mine before 38 weeks :/, I lived in an apartment with nowhere for baby stuff and then at 35 weeks I moved into our new house which was still a construction zone until the day before my babyshower.
