The first time I did the glucose test, like 4.5 years ago, I had no problems. Ever since I did mine today, I've felt terrible. I ate breakfast around 9, did the glucose test at like 11 or 12, thought with the sugar, I'd be good to push back lunch. I went to the gym, and after a half hour walk, my blood sugar dropped super low. I went to Burger King and by the time I got there, my shirt was saturated in sweat. I got a cookie to bump it....then got 4 more after I ate lunch, a veggie burger. I got home an hour or so ago and threw up a bunch. I'm now sweating again with chest pains and cramping. what is going on??

I did my glucose test Monday and they told me I had to be fasting and could not eat anything and only drink water and after my test I was sick all day threw up everything and was weak I called the dr and he told me it was just the sugar in the drink sometimes it effects people different....I hope u feel better

the first time I did it, they told me fasting. this time I double checked with then and they told me do not fast.

I was told I had to fast too. But my results came back fine and the whole day I took the test I felt awful. I didn't eat much after because I just knew I'd puke it up and I couldn't handle it. I took a super long nap and felt overheated and had this really odd feeling in my head. When I woke up in the morning I was fine. Just take it easy. If you feel something isn't right, call your doctor. I hope you feel better!

I had to do the 3 hour glucose test with my last pregnancy because I failed my 1 hour terribly. when I was done I had to have my husband come pick me up from the side of the road. because I was so sick from it I couldn't drive it was terrible.

@lyricsmommy15, I thought it was weird when I was told I didn't have to fast, but double checked the sheet, and indeed there was a selection for fasting and a separate one for 1 hour test. mine was checked for 1 hour test

@emily18234, It could just be that someone didn't know which test and there was a miscommunication. Or maybe it really was allowed. I've never heard of anyone being told they can eat. I felt sick already with my 1 hour and no food. The food could have made it worse. Or you could just be one of those people who react badly to it. They are constantly changing the test. When I did mine, I was miserable all day.

Mine I was told to eat 3 hours befor but only something small like toast or yogurt. But I also felt sick the rest the day and still haven't felt 100% and I took mine Tuesday
