the Karo syrup actually made my son more constipated, I always just give him prune juice & it works like no other!

@lovemyson_610, I tried the prune juice and she screamed for an hour her doctor said it give baby's tummy aches because as long as she's been constipated. I felt terrible!

@cheylee my son pedi recommended the Karo syrup but I've always heard prune juice was best. it def worked for him. Also, I know carrot juice works, and if you can find it Sweet Potato juice works too - it's extremely hard to find though. & pear juice. but sometimes you just have to use suppositories, my mom had to for my brother bc nothing else worked for him.

when my daughter was little she suffered from constipation really bad to where it would rip her. her pediatrician told us to use miralax and it helped her so much.

the same happened to my baby. how old is she? my pediatrician said sometimes babies need to learn how to use their muscles to poop. my daughter finally learned and she hasn't had anymore problems.

@kaibriellelove, She's 3 months old!:( she had no problems at all until a month ago. She just stopped. She'll get red in the face trying to go and nothing!:( it breaks my heart!!

@mdg8829, I'll ask about miralax. She's allergic to a lot of stuff so I'm scared to just try it.

She's also on similac alementum. and that's supposed to go right threw her. But it doesn't anymore. I feel helpless! She woke up this morning screaming in pain!:(

When you give her a bottle put a little bit of prune baby food in it.

poor baby. I really hope she gets it back on track. I know how you feel though. it's a horrible thing to witness. especially since you can't really help. try a warm bath and bicycling her legs. my dh did that for my LO when she was constipated and it came right out

@bryaxtonsmommy, her dad gave her a few bites of the baby prune food. She loved it lol. But hurt her poor tummy. I'm starting to think something might really be wrong!:(

I so appreciate everyone's feedback! It's comforting to know mommys are trying to help us!!

My son loves prunes too. My son had lots of stomach problems when he was born and I used to lay him on his stomach on my thighs and it seemed to help a little. For sure mention it to your doctor. I'm not sure if something is wrong but it's definitely not right!
