My husbands little brother who was 6 when I was pregnant also wanted us to have a boy. We had a girl, he cried or a few hours but he got over it. They are now best friends and cang get enough of each other! They will love each other no matter what.

my daughter is 5 and said the same thing but when it came time to find out the gender she decided she didn't want to share all her toys and dresses and bows...she's very girly...and that the only bad thing about a brother would be "watching boy movies/shows" but then I reminded her she already does bc her cousin is a boy and they are like twins lol now she's excited to be having a brother and not a sister

My oldest brother wanted a little brother when my mom got pregnant. When she had my sister, he took one look at her and said... "mom, I was kidding. I really wanted a baby sister." He was 5 when she was born. And my nephew really wanted me to have a little girl but he's super excited that I'm having a boy. I think that even if she's upset at first, she will get over it quick.

my daughter was 5 years old when i had her brother & she wanted a girl only to treat it like a babydoll. When i found out i was having a boy i didn't tell her either until i gave birth but i can honestly say she wasn't mad at all more over protected and act like she his momma

When I was pregnant with my last my older daughter (3 1/2 to 4 years old & now almost 5) was dead set on a baby brother. Well it ended up being a girl, when I gave the sonogram pictures to my daughter & told her it was a girl she broke down in tears & was very upset for awhile :/ of course once baby did come that all went away! :)

she shouldn't , she's a child she should learn to love him even if he's a boy , and he will grow up and look out for his big sis , and she will take care of her little bro
