ya know I think I'm fully ok for not wanting people to touch my son when he comes home! he's almost two months old now be only 4lbs he will be almost three months when he comes home he might be on a small oxygen machine when he comes home. I barely get to hold him let alone see him right now I spend my day in tears missing him and wishing he would just come home and wondering why me and blaming myself for him being born 13w early so I'm sorry if I don't want your nasty germs on my low immune system having premature under six lbs child during flu season.

@countrymama2015, lol I'm getting cussed or for it ha like really ... I'm that person that washes everything given to me. I've spent and will be adorning the next few weeks sanitizing his room.

I would do the same thing especially if someone is sick and they don't tell you and then he is back in the hospital that's definitely not good for him

I have a 29 weeker and we live in isolation. We've only had a few visitors and I make them wash their hands and use sanitizer. I don't screw around with that.

Exactly. At first my friends all wanted to come over and meet him (they still do) but I made it 100% clear we won't have many guests. I even had to tell my 4 year old's speech teacher that I couldn't have him start preschool because I can't handle the idea of him being in class with sick children. They reassured me that they wash their hands and use sanitizer often, but in his 45 minute class one time a week he brought home a cold and I was pissed. If you're on Facebook, you can join a group called "preemie moms". I'm a member and other members share links about rsv/cold/flu season and why they won't have people over. It's been helpful for me. I share a bunch of stuff from their page with my friends and family. If people don't go through it themselves, they don't understand the seriousness.
