So frustrated. Got the implanon and I'll have my period for like 3 weeks then a week off. Not heavy…

Also have it and just bled about 3 weeks. my partner wants it out already. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone!

My dr told me it could take up to a year for my body to get completely use to it and for my period to just stop. Not sure if I want to wait that long @alayna22

As someone that can have my period for two weeks just because that's how my body is... I'd say grab a towel.. Lol but I know a lot of people can't get passed it .but how difficult would it be to have taken out?

Before I got pregnant my period would last a full week but I was a heavy bleeder so I love that it's light now just hate it last so damn long. My boyfriend doesn't care but I do lol and not very hard but I don't know how my body will react to change and I'm my period will get heavier and I don't want that @myliltadpole1116

I was on it for almost a year .. when i first got it i bled for weeks. Period was lighter. But i would spot every damn day. A heavy spot too in my opinion. My bf and i would have to have sex in the shower most the time. Until i finally came to the conclusion that my body was not about to get used to it so i came off it and got on patches. Patches were good actually.. didnt have a problem except the sticky residue it would leave.. months later i started noticing the glue stuff was marking my skin so i switched again to pills that time. Lol

I would switch to pills but I know I'd forget to take it knowing me lol. I don't know if I should just wait a year and see how it goes or get off of it @floress_j

@I zzysmommy1003, , I know how u feel. I have been on just about every form of birth control except for depo and implanon. Mirena worked well, took a few months to adjust as well but I used to have extremely heavy periods and I only had spotting. U could use a thin panty liner for it. I was juiced about that part.. I had it for three years before it started moving out of place ( no complications) and I took it out without replacing it because I have endometriosis and wanted to see where my body was. It never fully returned to my heavy period and cramps , had been over a year, and then I got pregnant :)

I swear i felt the same.. but once youve taken them everyday for about 2 weeks.. you'll begin to get used to them. You can set an alarm for the morning and take them as soon as you get up. Or what i would do is put them right beside my bed.. so id see them every day. If you really want to give it a try still i would wait maybe 2 to 3 months and see how it goes. I doubt youll want to go a full year with irregular bleeding.. i only did it cause i was young and afraid of pills since i would always hear about girls getting pregnant on them lol and things going inside me was a no for me as well.. and i didnt trust the patch haha

I had the depo and I bled the full 3 months. Every birth control I am prevents me getting pregnant cause I won't have sex if I'm bleeding😂 lol @myliltadpole1116

Yeah I got the implanon cause it's 99% effective and I'm not trying to have another baby anytime soon. I'll wait it out for a few more months I guess @floress_j
