I have only had a dr deliver me. but I think it's a matter of preference. midwives can deliver in a birthing center but if something goes wrong u will be transferred to hospital.
I've had a Dr only deliver my children, I would LOVE to have a midwife. I hear they are more focused on mom and baby and not rushing you to get the baby out. I am on baby #5 and If my,water doesn't break I wanna labor more at home than at the hospital.

@saultz, I already have a hospital that im going to and they have both there but they bring the midwife from my ob office

definitely do mid wife then. because you already are at a hospital and that's typically the only thing people have against mid wives.
