I don't know how to tell if I'm having contractions or Braxton hick contractions it's kinda confusing to me I'm first time mom

@missyowl92, what does it mean when you feel like pins and needles almost like living in the vaginal area. I need it's the start of dilation
Braxton Hicks feel like cramps in your groin area and they can be really uncomfortable but tolerable and they go away when you switch positions. Real contractions can start in your lower back and work it's way to your front and they come in a rhythm and become more intense as they get more frequent and closer together.
the first part I looked up and says it's the beginning of dilation
well I'm also feeling like a pinching and needle type of pain in the vaginal area. and cramping and I think tightening but im not so sure I'm first time mom
it comes and goes since last Wednesday
