have you tried keeping her on one side and just pumping the other? she may just want you for the comfort

She's what 3/4 weeks old now? i know that was a bug growth spurt for us. so she's probably cranky and not really hungry.

@_akgirl, yes. she will be 3 weeks this sunday. and OK that makes sense. should I try giving her a bottle of breast milk to see if she will take it rather than my boob

Pacifier! Sounds like she just wants to soothe because of a growth spurt, but then she ends up getting milk and getting too full, so she throws up. A pacifier would help I bet.

you can certainly try. if you usually give her 4oz bottles, you should put half into a new bottle just in case she doesn't want it and have to waste that liquid gold. but if you're planning on nursing for a while, keeping her at breast is best for your supply. it's so tiring though, i know.

It's possible she has reflux. My son has it. They either under eat or over eat. My son wants to nurse more because it soothes his throat. Try keeping baby upright for 30 minutes after eating. Like @queendavis says, pacifier after eating could help this as well.
