questions for mommies did y'all get a puppy for your baby before he/she was born? if so do y'all still have it? because since we got a positive on the pregnancy test (and that's because god answered our prayers) and well my husband got a little puppy for our baby named pookie bear? and I want to know is it hard to take care of a baby and a puppy at the same time the puppy won't be no more then 2lbs he's a teacup.

It'll basically like having 2 babies.... We got a dog like 1 year before we had our daughter (didn't know I was preggo that time)

aww she's cute this is our little one but I heard and my family told me it will be harder to take care of a puppy and a baby at the same time. and I figured if any other mommies did the same and still has the dog that I can do it to :)

I had my dog for about 2 years before having a baby, and we just recently gave her to someone else. I hated it, but it was so hard trying to give the dog the attention she needed, as well as take care of a baby under one, and being pregnant. I knew when baby #2 got here our dog would go even more on the back burner, and she deserved more attention than we could give. Plus when my first baby was born, she unhouse broke herself, so I couldn't ever let her run around the house, I couldn't imagine how it would of been if she was a puppy and trying to take care of a baby as well. If you think you can handle it, sure. We just couldn't find the time, it absolutely broke my hear giving her away, but I didn't know what else to do.

yea they become family after so long and I know how hard it is I had to get rid of my dog a year and a half ago and I feel like I can but I'm scared I will have a emotional break down

Exactly, and while I love animals, and I loved our dog to death. My actual children come first, so I tried to do what was best. We definitely won't get another dog for a while, I don't even trust myself with a fish at this point. 😂 Some people can do it though! Don't think you can't, I just spoiled my dog a lot before my daughter was born, and then after she didn't get the same attention, and that was difficult for her to understand.

My boyfriend got a pit puppy for our baby. She's about 3-4 months now. She'll still be in the "puppy" stage when our daughter is here. I'm just wondering how that will go lol.

yea when our little one comes ours will be almost a year old but still a puppy and hopefully by then it won't be as hard
