Is it wrong for wanting his parents to know about this baby? They don't know about me or the baby…

Is it wrong for wanting his parents to know about this baby? They don't know about me or the baby and he plans on not telling until maybe after the birth... I don't like that. I feel they should be involved asap (if they so choose). We got into an argument on it but it's important to me. I never got to know my dad's parents, they lived far away, and my grandpa died 2 years ago. The last time I saw him was 10 years ago. Still not over it. I've only saw him twice when I was little (military brat). I don't have much of a relationship with my maternal grandparents either. So I don't want my daughter to miss out on her paternal grandparents/family that I never had. She'll have mine luckily but still. Am I being silly?
