It's not a great picture but I would say boy, I don't see any girl indicators, looks like the way he is sitting he squished his boy parts! How many weeks was this at?
So I zoomed in a bit towards the left of the picture it looks like it could be a girl, also the gender parts are really protruding too much. Here, this is my little girl at 15 weeks and she looks pretty similar to yours! I don't want to give you a for sure yes or no just because I wasn't your tech.

No he didn't, he just said that it was girl, I'm only 19 weeks, and will have a 3D at 28 weeks.
