Sounds about like me. Just spent 3 hours texting a friend yesterday evening about how I'm depressed and exhausted. She tries to be understanding but she is single with no kids and lives with her dad. She doesn't know the meaning of tired.
Yup, mine too. I am a stay at home mom and our daughter doesn't take bottles. So when she wakes up in the night it's all on me. He gets a full nights sleep and I'm up between 3-7 times a night depending on how she's feeling. She usually will nurse and go right back to sleep but recently she has been waking back up when I lay her down so some times it takes a few tries to get her down. Hubby thinks I have it easy because he busts his ass at work all week and I get the pleasure of staying home. He has no idea.
@alainasmama, exactly omg if they only knew. catch with mine is that although she is mainly breastfed we have to supplement with formula occasionally for health issues so theres no reason he can't get up and feed her her supplement
I breastfeed exclusively as well, so Della's dad never wakes up. I think I may be slightly resentful of him right now because waking up by myself and keeping myself awake to feed/change/get her back to sleep. It's really hard doing it by myself and I dealt with really bad depression my entire pregnancy and 6 weeks after baby and I'm still struggling with it. If only their dads knew everything we deal with/go through on a daily basis to make sure everything is taken care of and we have healthy, beautiful babies. @dnhmommy3 @alainasmama
I don't think they will ever understand. Us mamas have a completely different bond than they have with our little ones. My daughter will be 10 months old in about a week and yesterday was the first time I've heard him say he wishes we bottle fed her so he could bond too because he feels distant.
When my husband does wake up on occasion he tries to tell me he wakes up every time I just don't realize it... Yea he sure seems awake in bed snoring lol @kenziem
map ainasmama, that is exactly what mine says! I have to shake him to wake him up if I'm feeling too exhausted. And you're right about the bonding. It's amazing how much of a bond I have with my girl. Although my guy doesn't tell me he wishes we bottle fed. Maybe one day.
