yes it's true. you are not spoiling by meeting their needs. yes you may be inconvenienced a bit.and when they are emotionally and physically ready they will branch out on their own
Lol thanks. I constantly held my son when he was a baby. Now I'm pregnant with my 2nd and have fallen 3 times because he is always right under me. He's 3 years old and has no desire to be without me. We're trying to get him out of it before his sister gets here. It's hard. I used to be so stern with him but since I've gotten pregnant, for some reason I feel an extreme amount of guilt so I've started babying him .
Yes it's definitely true. You will never look back and say "I wish I held my baby less...I wish I didn't snuggle them as much." They need you and it's our maternal instinct to hold, love and snuggle our babies. Look into attachment parenting. Children that have a secure attachment as an infant are more confident and independent as older children and adults.
Yes! 100%. I feel guilty. I've bawled my eyes out thinking about how once baby is here that my almost two year old won't get the same 1:1 attention that he does now. I feel guilty that I can't hold him, pick him up, rock him like I could. I feel guilty that our sleeping arrangements and schedule are soon going to change and he won't understand. I think that's what I feel guilty about the most is that he doesn't fully understand why mommy has changed. Why mommy can't get down and play the same and chase him. But I'm not sorry that he will have a little brother to play with and love. It's going to be a major adjustment but I'm told it's worth it ;) <3
