what if I wanna stop breastfeeding at like 8-9 months..what do I do?? because u can't do all food yet right? and milk…

Hi I have 2 1/2 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old and one was on formula and the second one I was breastfeeding when they were 9 1/2 months I stopped them on both and started giving them regular whole milk and they were fine.. They ate food I had the gerber puffs for snacks and like I said they did ok now they eat me out of house and home lol but the doctors will tell you wait until they are one but I started them a little early I gave my second son I regular bottle with a nipple that was similar to mine but I hoped that helped

@izzykkajs_momma, I read online that back in the day babies were given cows milk by 6 months..I'd be a little scared to before a year just because I try to do everything by the books as best I can

I started my son on cows milk at 9 months and he was off the bottle at a year old. With the ok from his pediatritian of course. Each one will tell you different. Talk to your babys ped about it

okay will do, she's only 2 months now an I worry about a decrease in milk supply but I'm tryna keep it up @liz5511

i started both my girls on whole milk at 9 months old. and her dr said as long as she didnt have any problems with it that it was alright :)

Yeah that's good and every baby is different @supermom1104 there's nothing wrong with giving the baby cows milk a couple months early
