I want to start giving my baby cereal in his milk at night is 3 months to early to do that?

my babys pediatrician told me around 6 months

I say too early unless your pediatrician says otherwise

Thanks ladies I was just wondering because I have some friends that have given their babies cereal at night I just wanted more opinions

I think I started cereal at almost 3 months but not a lot at all! Maybe a couple of pinches at most.

I know what you mean! lol that cereal will get him fuller and he'll probably sleep better and longer.

I've been putting cereal in my daughters milk since she was almost 3 months. i started off a lil then gradually more as she got older she just started baby food last month! shell be 7 months the 24th! also with the cereal it'll make em fuller so do a smaller bottle than normal for instance if u normally do 6 oz if u add cereal do 4 oz maybe

one thing I learned, giving a baby rice or cereal at night won't help them sleep through.. it's just the routine of the baby. my doctor barely gave me the okay at 5m. I give it to her 2 times a day in the morning and at night.. and it's just to fill them up to not drink as much formula.

My sons dr said if you start them on cereals and foods too early it can increase their chances of being obese later in life because it messes with their stomach before they are ready to digest everything.
