Have any of you moms ever gave birth without an epidural? I'm really considering it...

What's weird is I was just thinking about it today after reading about the long term pains after getting one like some women years afterwards still have severe back pain from it so I'm just thinking hell no not today lol

I would but I honestly know I'm a wimp sooooo yea. I'm probably going to get one but not until I'm almost ready to push. I wanna walk around to make it move faster.

That's why I'm scared to get one haha. I'd rather go through temporary pain instead of risk long term pain/problems @theylove_fani

without help every time you get up to use the bathroom its just all around better & faster I still have back pain from my epidrual & I'm going on 5 years since I got it

Exactly! Everyone is like get an epidural I'm like uhh no. First off I hate needles and I've heard that it takes 5-10 minutes to put the tube in so that turned me off from it. Second just how every pregnancy is different every recovery is different so I don't wanna go off of what Sally and Jennifer experienced (fake names). Lastly but actually back to my first point I HATE NEEDLES. Every time I need to go to get an IV put in its so painful if I could choose to not get one I probably would go without its just not worth another nurse who can't find my veins. 🤕🤒😴

I had an epidural both times. I don't like needles either but trust me you'll be in so much pain at that point you won't even care about the needle and it's not bad at all. But if you can handle it without it then more power to you! Good luck!

I'm just gonna wait until the time comes to make my decision. I just wanted to hear everyone's stories/opinions on not having an epidural

@briplusone, ive had a csection a vbac with epidural and a natural vbac

I had an epidural. worst part was the contractions and the prick of the needle. took the doctor less than a minute to put it in and the meds kicked in about 10 minutes later and I was numb from the hips down.

I had an all natural birth with our first and I will be doing it again with this baby. it's really not that bad.. I have a high pain tolerance and I didn't even know I was in labor.. once you realize you have a baby to bring into this world you don't care about anyting except getting the baby out safe.. xo @briplusone
