It don't hurt. They feel like a bunch of pressure pushing toward your belly and your belly gets crazy hard.

They are slightly uncomfortable though

@ldg04242015, this is my third pregnancy and this if the first time I have felt them. Braxton hicks is ur body getting ready for the real thing. It's tightening of the pelvic muscles. And mine did hurt. I would be in tears bc of the pain. Doctor told me that as u have more kids the more they hurt. They are a sharp pain. Mine lasted on and off for about an hour or so.

I have a high tolerance for pain too...Braxton hicks you can tolerate...contractions you CANNOT. it's impossible. it feels like 100 pounds worth of bricks is sitting on your chest and you can't move because the pain is shocking through your body.

Braxton hicks you also can't time like contractions..there unpredictable and come and go
