does anyone else's baby really only take one boob over the other? my son nurses like a champ on the left side but it's like a battle to get him to even latch on the right.

Yes. Lay down and nurse him and instead of switching him to the other side, switch yourself if that makes sense. So he doesn't move the side he is laying on
