Took some caster oil....so nasty😖. Hopefully that works, doctor said it helps start contractions so hopefully something happens in the next few days, week or 2

I don't think a doctor would recommend that. They can lose their license and have a lawsuit. Caster oil comes from back in the day when black people didn't have doctors to help the baby hurry up so the slave masters gave them caster oil. But it not suppose to be to just jump start labor. And 37 weeks your baby isn't fully grown. The last couple weeks are really needed. If a doctor felt the need to get that baby out they would have induced you.

Thanks @jaquanandbrysonsmommy. Went to my appointment today she still healthy. Heart rate was 142 and measuring at 36 cm.

Praying for you and your baby and that everything goes well. Too early for castor oil but also, I know someone who did and had a still birth because it caused their baby to poop and breathe it. another whose baby pooped and severely damaged their lungs. very dangerous, I can't believe your doctor suggested it. I pray everything works out
that's still too early for castor oil.. I would NVR recommend that..and your Dr is just stupid he should be fired or something. I pray your baby is healthy though
If your mom was overdue it's likely she would have gone into labor in the next few days whether she would have taken it or not. It's super risky and you should do some research before putting your baby at risk. Wishing you and your baby the best of luck.
Not just because castor oil is dangerous but unless you go into labor naturally you shouldn't try to kickstart labor yourself until 39-40 weeks.
I understand. I tried it with my last daughter and it was horrible. did total opposite of what I was told it would. thankfully though,my daughter wasn't harmed. I will never try it again. definitely blessed and I can only hope people follow your story and take it into consideration!!!! @tayek

@randirenee, we appreciate ALL the thoughts and support!!! Baby Camiyha is progressing but slowly. I bet her mama wishes now she could take back that impatience. But hey, all I can do is share what's happening. People gonna do what they want regardless. I'm just amazed how ONE person saying "go for it" can outweigh all the proven evidence that it's bad. I just say a prayer and keep it moving.
I'm actually 37 weeks today @deiona_mom2b16. And not only did my doctor tell me this, but my mom too. She said when she was pregnant with me i went past my due date and so she took 3 tablespoons of caster oil, threw up and maybe a few days later her water broke @noahsmomma .
and before your full term!!! sorry but that's even more dangerous your baby is not fully ready to come there's a reason they say if you do castor oil at all that it can't be before 37 weeks

What doctor would recommend that at 36 weeks? They should have their license taken away.
wow I cannot imagine a doctor would tell you that is OK. It is not safe or Ok.
you may not find out the risks I pray you don't but there is a chance of still born or serious complications I'm not trying to scare you but those can happen
your baby can poop will in your uterus still and then swallow and damage her lungs and stop breathing sweetie!!! what doc are you going to because that is dangerous
