need some opinions I want to use the $500-$600 crib my mom bought me but my SO wants me to use a bassinet or wait until he grows out of the bassinet what did you use (crib will be in our room until he's of age to have his own room)

I used a bassinet till about 4 months when my little one was old enough to support his own head. som people only use them till about 2 or 3 months, once the baby is out of the newborn stage
