My son will be two months on the 27th and he's on similac soy milk with cereal in it.. he weighs 8 lbs & 9 ounces eats three ounces every three hours... his Dr said he had mild reflux but spits up all the time and it gushes out his nose sometimes... he's on a reflux medicine called zantac...I give it to him twice a day... he spits up so bad he even does it in his sleep.. it just shoots out... he strangles sometimes... after he spits up he sounds very congested...idk what to do... this is the third time they have changed his formula... he was on Nutrigamin but it didn't work for him.. please any advice would be great... I'm a first time mom as well... thank you y'all...☺

is there a reason you can't do breast milk? even if you can't do yours you could look into donor milk or a wet nurse?

Nutramigen is supposed to be be the best for babies with milk allergies etc. my 3 mo old is on breast milk but she has mild reflux and takes Zantac as well never and spitting up though. My son who is now 3 was on every formula and nutramigen was the only thing that finally worked after about 24 hours. My daughters Doctor also said if I ever switch her to formula nutramigen would be the one. Watch with soy for constipation. There is also another special formula called neocate. Possibly look that up of try him on nutramigen again. Is there any special reason why he's on rice cereal already ? I hope him and you find some relief soon !!

thank you the Dr said to thicken up his formula to try to help keep it down but it's not working... and yes he does stay constipated so I give him Karo syrup once a day and he usually has one bowel movement a day... and I'm too scared too breastfeed... I'm so stressed about it.. he's so pitiful...
