I'm 20 weeks 2 days. And I'm having really bad sharp pains in my lower belly. is this normal?

Severe pain is a sign to call the doc. If it lasts more than a second or two

When it happens it last almost 5 seconds. it's never constant. just every now and then @emeliaday

Is it low on the side like the edge of your pelvis? That's round ligament pain.

Shouldn't be severe pain. Growing pains shouldn't be anything more than mild period like cramps. At least that's what I was told and what I felt. The only sharp pain I had was the ligament pain when I stretched wrong or moved suddenly.

@emeliaday, this morning I couldn't even sit up because every time I moved it hurt so bad
